After releasing five of their records in 2007, My Idea of Fun is proud to present a Greatest Hits Collection from the collective's premier gonzo-rock band, Siamese Dream.  In the great tradition of artists such as Ween and the Beatles, Siamese Dream write songs that are not suffocated by genre; the work of Siamese Dream is linked together by sharp songwriting and adventurous production.  It is not uncommon to hear a 60s pop song in the vein of the Beach Boys or the Zombies on the same record as an R&B tune about domestic abuse or a rock 'n roll tune that sounds like it should have been released in the 1990s (Siamese Dream IV).  Or how about a post-punk record influenced in equal parts by Bitches Brew, early Public Image Limited, and Unwound?  Listen to Siamese Dream III.  This Greatest Hits Collection collects songs from all eras of Siamese Dream and presents them in one convenient, bite-sized piece.  It is the end of one stage in the development of Siamese Dream.  Think of this collection, and Siamese Dream's first five records, as kindergarten.  We can't wait for those assholes to start first grade.
